Unique Summer Cleaning Tips

some summer cleaning isn't as common knowledge so we compiled a list of some of these odd but useful tips

Summertime includes grilling out, vacations, pool time and enjoying the outdoors! With all of these activities comes more cleaning. But with these tips below, clean-up can be quick and fast, so you can get back to enjoying your summer.

Grilling Out: There’s nothing like the smell and taste of a burger on the grill! But with that deliciousness, comes a greasy grill. For a quick clean-up once you’ve finished grilling and it’s turned off, use a wire brush to scrub down the grates. This will also ensure your grill isn’t messy the next time you use it.

Swimsuits: Whether you’re at home in your pool or even on vacation, you’ll want to rinse your bathing suit off as soon as you’re finished for the day. This will help remove any chemicals, sand, and sunblock, which will help extend the life of your swimsuits.

Pool Toys: All of those pool floaties, toys, and rafts need to be cleaned. After using them, put vinegar on a pool towel and wipe them down.

Camping Gear: It’s important that your camping gear is thoroughly washed either before you leave the campsite or as soon as you get home. The reason you want to do this is because once you store your camping gear, especially if you won’t be using it until next year, you don’t want any mold or mildew to grow on your items.

Washing Machine: If your washer is in a high humidity there’s a chance it could smell from mildew or mold. Don’t let that happen! Once or twice a month do an empty load with detergent and hot water, also keep the door open for it to dry.

With these quick tips, you can still enjoy your summer, while making sure your items are staying clean, and lasting throughout the whole summer and beyond!

Until next time – happy cleaning!
